AgriPlex Genomics was formed in 2014 with the goal of creating a platform for targeted sequencing and genotyping in very large populations.

We specialize in focused, simultaneous analysis of limited numbers of loci (few to several hundreds) in any number of DNA samples in support of animal and plant breeders.  The multiplexed Next-Gen PlexSeq™ platform will greatly improve throughput and efficiency while significantly reducing costs.

AgriPlex Genomics partners with plant and animal breeders and researchers to identify desirable traits, leading to healthier and more productive crops and livestock.

Dr. Alex Miron

Dr. Alex Miron

Dr. Miron has over 25 years of experience leading research and development work in population genomics and has published over 100 articles in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Miron has been a faculty member at Duke University, Harvard Medical School, and The Dana Farber Cancer Institute where his research focused on understanding breast cancer risk. Currently Dr. Miron is Associate Professor, Director of the Genomics Core at Case Western Reserve University and a founding partner/Chief Scientific Officer of AgriPlex Genomics. He developed the PlexSeq™ technology at AgriPlex Genomics to address customer needs for inexpensive and accurate large sample number sequencing and genotyping.

Len McGrath

Len McGrath

Len brings over 30 years of biotechnology industry experience in sales, business management, business ownership and strategy. Len was founder and CEO of KBiosciences US, which was acquired by LGC Genomics in 2012. Len is a founding partner of AgriPlex Genomics.

Jim Marsh

Jim Marsh

Jim brings over 20 years of sales, strategy, and business management experience to AgriPlex Genomics. As a principle of Marsh Bio Products he led the business in sales, marketing, business development and strategy. Jim is a founding partner of AgriPlex Genomics.

Scott Weigel

Scott Weigel

Scott is a founding partner of AgriPlex Genomics where he brings over 15 years of Life Science sales and marketing experience. Scott works closely with plant and animal researchers to help integrate our PlexSeq™ technology into their breeding programs.
